Intel iMac

So Last week I got a 17” intel iMac because I really wanted one and my 17” powerbook was on its last leg and needed to be sent to AppleCare.
Just a few quick notes here… It is great, and excellent machine for $1299! Compiling source code feels like a snappy linux box, the text fly’s by instead of crawling. And most things are just more responsive. So if anyone is teetering on the edge, go ahead and get one you will be happy with it.
I am also getting a new macbook pro provided by my new job(Yay!) so i will be rocking the all intel OSX scene soon. These machines are awesome and one of the coolest things to happen to osx in a while.

Picked up a MacBook Pro myself on Wednesday. I think it is kind of big, but I like it. BTW, you can get another gig of ram on NewEgg for just over $100. 2Ghz, 2 cores, 2GB. Mmmmm.
I picked up a 1.83 Ghz MacBook, and am completely enamored with it. This is my first Mac and I couldn't be happier. All of the wierd stuff I had in my Capistrano deploy files to deal with Windows differences got eliminated. And lighty on my test machine... Whoohoo!
I have the 20" iMac(intel) and doing rails development. however I am stuck at getting RMagick to work. I'm not able to build either imagemagick or graphics magick. have you had any luck?
I used darwin ports to install imagemagick and friends. But then use normal gems to install the RMagick gem. This works fine on my intel imac and macbook pro. Give that a try and let me know if you need some more help.
